Go get a professional one, take notes, carry on. I get them every 3 weeks, better when someone else does it. You relax for 60 minutes, nothing better.
PRE-FACIAL:

The secret to having a great home facial is time. Set aside a few hours in the afternoon and make sure you鈥檝e got everything you need鈥?br>

- your favourite CD

- a few scented candles

- a good mirror

- a bowl filled with hot water

- your favourite scented oil

- a towel

- cleanser

- exfoliant

- face mask

- moisturiser

Step 1:

Recreate that calming beauty salon atmosphere with some soothing music, and a few scented candles. Make sure you鈥檝e got a comfy chair to sit in, some fluffy towels and have a mirror on hand for those 鈥榗lose up鈥?moments.

Step 2:

Thoroughly cleanse your face using your regular cleanser, making sure to remove every last bit of make-up from your face and neck area.

Step 3:

Fill a bowl with hot water and add a few drops of your favourite essential oil. Place a towel over your head and feel your face relax as the steam opens up those pores. If the steam starts to feel a bit uncomfortable, make a gap in the towel and let some cool air in. A scaled face is not the sort of look you want from a facial!

Step 4:

Pat your face dry and use a gentle exfoliating scrub to remove the layer of dry skin cells that are hiding that fresh skin! We love Clean%26amp;Clear Exfoliating Renewal Scrub, which contains gentle MicroBeads that work to clear away dead skin and surface build-up. Get the best out of your exfoliant by massaging the beads gently into your face with your fingers. Use a clockwise circular motion and only do small sections at a time so you get rid of every last bit of skin build up.

Step 5:

The next step is to get yourself looking like a real alien by applying a face mask. There are a lot of different types of face mask on the market, but a deep cleansing mask like Clean%26amp;Clear鈥檚 Deep Action Cleansing Mask will get right into your pores. The Deep Action mask is easy to use because it changes colour as it cleans your skin 鈥?just remove it when it turns white!

Step 6:

Now your skin has had a basic clean, a steam, a scrub and a deep clean, it鈥檚 time to freshen up that new layer of skin with some moisturiser. Try to avoid tinted moisturisers straight after a facial 鈥?you want to put a good layer of moisture onto your skin. Clean%26amp;Clear Skin-Balancing Moisturiser is absorbed quickly into your skin and will leave it feeling soft and smooth. Neutrogena Moisture is also a great moisturiser, especially for post-facial and sensitive skin. Not only will it give you plenty of moisture without leaving your skin greasy, it also helps minimise the appearance of tiny lines!

POST FACIAL:

You鈥檒l be feeling very relaxed and pampered post-facial, so don鈥檛 go rushing off on that hot date just yet. If you cleanse you skin then reapply make-up straight afterwards you鈥檒l undo all that great work! Sit back and relax with your favourite book so your skin has a few hours to breathe鈥hen you can put some make up on.
